Born in Lachute, Quebec, a graduate of Acadia University and Yorkville University, Angelina McOuat has always been well known for her sincere heart and ability to listen. Her passion for learning and adventure has taken her across the country, earning a range of credentials and experiences. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management & Community Development, a Minor in Business, a Master's degree in Counseling, as well as certifications in Holistic Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning. Angelina understands the pressures and challenges of daily work life as she was deeply involved in several of her family's businesses. Her well-rounded resume is foundational to her approach of exploring the whole person and acknowledging that everyone is unique. Understanding that one size does not fit all.
Her areas of interest for individual counseling encompass a range of vital topics, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationships ,and the challenges posed by social media. She is dedicated to supporting individuals through these issues with a blend of therapeutic approaches. She utilizes a trauma-informed approach, Attachment Theory, Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Nature Therapy to offer comprehensive and effective support.
Outside of her professional practice, Angelina can be found training her German Shepard-Malinois dog, "Hazel," for her local Search and Recovery team, training for Half-Ironman races, or spending time with her family and partner in the outdoors.
